The government wants to prevent any risk of an epidemic.
During his press conference this Thursday evening, the Minister of Health announced that the duration of the isolation to be respected in the event of contamination with covid-19 is extended, from 7 to 10 days.
The isolation of contact cases remains fixed at seven days.
Olivier Véran is thus ahead of the results of studies in progress on the variants currently circulating in the country.
Fears indeed suggest that the latter would be distinguished by a longer duration of contagiousness.
