There is no good match of carbs and meat.

To deal with the crisis that befell the relatively young restaurant, a Corona-adapted menu was invented, which was even given the name "essential menu".

The dishes that do not succeed well in deliveries or that their preparation time is long have been replaced by user-friendly dishes, which means a lot of juicy meats wrapped in comforting carbohydrates such as house bread, pita, lafa, ban and the like.

There is no good match for carbs and meat in the days of Corona, BBI thought and they were not wrong.

The deliveries and takeaways recorded an increase and the popularity of the special route sewn for the occasion increased.

Original and local concept.

The original and local concept allows you to enjoy different experiences - the delivery and take-away menu stars sandwiches such as schnitzel in house bread (the hot trend), smoked meat (chicken or asado), fish from the sea and even a chicken liver mousse sandwich.

Not dishes you see everywhere, certainly not at roadside inns.

Next to them there are always classics like hummus dishes, shawarma, burgers, sloppy joe and more.

The category of meal in pita has a place of honor: entrecote steak (NIS 69), chicken and liver mix (NIS 39), regular or disassembled kebab (NIS 49) and even a hamburger (NIS 59) entered the menu during the challenging period.

From shawarma in pita to entrecote steak with foie gras

In the days of routine, the culinary world operates on several levels, one of which is the eclectic level.

Many diners like to diversify at the same meal and experience street food alongside casual dining dishes and even chef restaurant style dishes.

Usually you only have to choose one route and stick to it, but all this came to change at BP Bistro Netanya, when it opened in 2018.

"We are three partners who worked together at the mythical BP branch in Haifa Bay," says Dan Amir, "Shai Reisman, Eden Bar Moha and I We worked together for years and decided to expand to another branch, which has similar and different characteristics from the parent branch. The favorite popular dishes, with an emphasis on meats, are also served at BBP Bistro Netanya but to diversify and give curious customers more experiences to get to know us we decided to combine restaurant within restaurant And hummus. "

So next to the decorated diner restaurant there is an authentic shawarma complex where veal shawarma and chicken shawarma are served which have been named chicken shawarma and butchers shawarma (our recommendation - a mix of the two) and a hummus where the chickpeas are ground fresh in front of customers with the order.

"These are brands in their own right with original dishes that we developed like Sloppy Joe-style shawarma in our focaccia that we empty from the inside and fill with hot, fresh juicy meat," says Amir, "alongside shawarma in pita or laffe."

Inspired by roadside inns in the United States.

In a winning strategic location - on the coastal road at the Netanya interchange - the second branch of the mythical BP restaurant from Haifa opened in April 2018 and changed the culinary concept for the area's residents and for hungry passers-by on Road 2. In other words - you can enjoy all the worlds at any price level, in any family / social composition and in any time frame (from a festive sitting with full service to collecting dishes to take).

This is a culinary complex at the gas station at the Netanya interchange with seating options instead of high bar tables, pick-up on the go or more meticulous seating in a restaurant with full service (routine).

At the same meal around a diner table or at the bar you get both menus and so one diner can eat foie gras, another can relish entrecote steak, the third can enjoy shawarma in pita, the fourth indulge in asado roasted in slow smoke for 12 hours and the fifth bite into a burger.

MADE IN USA with Middle Eastern seasoning

Amir admits that the initial thought was to attract a new clientele to come in and get to know the new restaurant.

"In Haifa we were a brand that everyone knew, we knew it would take time to get used to and get to know us in the Netanya area so we wanted to allow people to taste and be impressed, and what is more attractive than shawarma and chickpeas?", He says, "On the axis between Haifa and Tel Aviv we are the only place to stop "To be a stop for the masses passing on the highway, so we thought of gradually exposing the crowd to the bistro, through shawarma and chickpeas sold to them. To this day when people first enter there is a slight confusion on their faces and they do not fully understand where they came from and what the concept is."

The idea came from the partners from roadside inns in the United States, which are reached after a long trip and where you can eat a variety of dishes inside.

"We have invested in custom furniture, a sound system, theater lighting, open kitchens where everything is done in front of customers. The place is suitable for customers, from passers-by who come to eat shawarma for lunch to families and groups of friends who come to celebrate and open a pampering table in the evening," explains Amir. "You can have a popular and simple experience alongside a prestigious and festive one. The idea is that even a bus with 50 tourists can stop here and everyone will find something to eat."

Economic concerns have dissipated.

The branch also provides a delivery service to the Netanya area and the surrounding area, with an emphasis on many offices that are a few minutes' drive away. In the evening, the crowd changes and families order takeaways and deliveries - services that have become very strong in the past year in light of the corona. The place is routinely filled with diners who come to eat and enjoy cocktails, beers, kosher wines and spirits.

BP (Burger Plus) Bistro restaurant started in 2004 as a non-kosher burger bar restaurant, after several years of operation it became kosher. Economic concerns dissipated as the restaurant became even more successful. The partners also apply the kosher concept at the Netanya branch, while adhering to several kosher degrees (smooth meat, mehadrin, mahufod, badatz, as required by diners).

The restaurant now operates in the form of deliveries and take-away and later, according to the instructions, will return to full hospitality with menus. The rich and diverse
