According to the judiciary, Ernst August von Hannover will have to answer before the regional court in Wels in Austria on March 23.
According to the court, he is accused of "committing a punishable act in a state of intoxication."
The suspicion is, among other things, of resistance to state power, serious bodily harm and coercion.
According to the court, the sentence is up to three years in prison.
The presumption of innocence applies until a judgment is reached.
Ernst August, who owns a property in Austria, is said to have threatened a police officer in a total of three incidents in the summer of 2020, slightly injured an officer and threatened a couple to leave a building.
His law firm refused to comment when asked.
Family dispute over Marienburg Castle
A court spokeswoman said that several witnesses and an expert were invited to the trial.
So far, only one day of negotiations has been scheduled.
It remains to be seen whether another appointment will have to follow.
Ernst August belongs to the royal family of the Guelphs.
The 66-year-old is notorious for his freaking out.
Most recently, however, the family dispute over Marienburg Castle in Lower Saxony made headlines.
Ernst August demands the return of Marienburg Castle from his son - and therefore sued him.
Ernst August junior originally wanted to sell the former summer residence of the Welfs to the public sector for one euro.
But after his father's objection, the deal negotiated with the Lower Saxony state government failed.
Then the lock and inventory were transferred to a foundation.
