Around 2 million households are still cut off from the electricity supply.

Many videos of similar fates are circulating on the net, shared on various social media.
Some people try gallows humor: a
lot of damage is spread in short videos via TikTok.

While the Texans are battling with the cold, their Republican Senator Ted Cruz is said to have made off the dust or snow - towards Mexican sandy beaches, as angry citizens noted on Twitter.
Governor Greg Abbott doesn't look good either.
He had to correct his premature statement that so-called "green energy" was to blame for the situation:

In many places, however, access to "all forms of energy" has been cut off as an exception - because nothing works.
