David Hasselhoff, that's the one in the red swimming trunks you know from the TV series »Baywatch«.

David Hasselhoff's swimming trunks will soon be on display at the BikiniARTmuseum in Bad Rappenau.

Bad Rappenau is a spa near Heilbronn.

But why is there a BikiniARTmuseum in Bad Rappenau and what does it want with Hasselhoff's pants?

Sun, beach, Malibu: »Baywatch« is a now historical television series about human rescuers in red swimwear.

David Hasselhoff with chest hair, Pamela Anderson with other advantages, in slow motion you are walking across the sand, it is the opposite of house arrest in the Corona winter.

It is an invitation to ask yourself what the Hasselhoff trousers are all about.

You are rewarded with insights into a topic that "has more breadth and depth than you imagine," Lisa Otten says on the phone.

Lisa Otten is 30 years old and a historian.

It has a boss who is not a historian, but, according to Otten, a "developer of special properties" based in Regensburg.

He owns truck stops and spends three months a year in Brazil, which you can't blame him for when you look at the truck stops that you know.

There in Brazil he was dealing with swimwear.

And it turned out that he owned a hotel near the motorway in Bad Rappenau and had free space.

In addition, the historian Otten and the website of the museum unanimously claim that there was no real bathing culture museum anywhere in the world.
