(ANSA) - LONDON, FEBRUARY 19 - The "precautionary" hospitalization of 99-year-old Prince Philip, wife of Queen Elizabeth, has continued since Tuesday evening in a private wing of the King Edward VII Hospital in London following a "malaise" that Buckingham Palace ensures that he is still a stranger to Covid, and destined not to be discharged according to the latest indications no earlier than next week.
A British court source made it known to the media today, reiterating that the Duke of Edinburgh is currently only "under observation" and "at rest", and that his morale "is good".
"After the last consultation with his doctor, the Duke of Edinburgh is likely to remain in hospital for observation and rest over the weekend and early next week," the source said.
Not without adding, as a new reassurance, that medical indications are taken with "plenty of caution", therefore beyond the ordinary rules of prudence.
And that "the Duke remains in a good mood".
