Uber ended the week badly.
On Friday 19 February, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom ruled that the drivers of the VTC app should be considered as salaried "workers".
A questioning of the group's economic model, which has always made its drivers independent.
This decision is not neutral: it means that the drivers will have to receive a minimum wage, to have paid holidays… Social benefits which will increase the costs for Uber while the company is still making losses.

The group took note of this decision:
"We will be consulting all our active drivers in the UK to understand the changes they want to see,"
said Jamie Heywood, Uber boss for Northern Europe and ballast.
But, at the same time, the VTC platform did everything to limit the scope of this stop.
She recalls that this decision only concerns a handful of drivers, that it was taken taking into account how the app works.
