Vaccines, Germany donates another 1.5 billion to poor countries

(ANSA) - BERLIN, FEBRUARY 19 - Germany will donate an additional 1.5 billion euros to the Covax mechanism and others, to guarantee vaccinations in the poorest countries.

Finance Minister Olaf Scholz said this in a statement by the G7.

Berlin had already allocated 600 million euros.

   "Vaccines are the only way out of the pandemic," he explained.
