Covid: many Palermitans on the beach in Mondello © ANSA
As the hours go by, it assumes the connotation of a real summer "full house" on Sunday on the Roman coast, with an assault of cars towards Ostia and Fiumicino, in particular.
The constant influx of vehicles exiting the Rome-Fiumicino motorway also symbolizes this.
To enter the city center of Fiumicino there are lines and also in the direction of the seafront, with saturated parking lots everywhere.
In addition to the restaurants and kiosks by the sea, there are also many appearances on the beaches and promenades.
Not finding free places, some visitors "turned around" and left for the capital.
Great work for the command of the local police of Fiumicino, committed to coordinating, with the other police forces, the eight patrols in the field.
Many Palermitans took advantage of the sunny day to spend Sunday on the beach in Mondello despite the anti Covid restrictions.
Even if in the yellow zone the ordinance of the mayor Leoluca Orlando is still in force which imposes a ban on stopping along the coast to try to limit the gatherings in the seaside village.
Ordinance which was extended until 8 March.
The police and the representatives of the coast guard have tried to limit the parking and the gatherings that have also been registered in the square.
