This morning (Sunday), after contracting the corona virus and being respirated and anesthetized for a week at Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, Danny Bitton, Eyal Golan's father, passed away.

Bitton's funeral was held this afternoon in the Or Akiva cemetery.

Eyal Golan came to the place to say Kaddish about his late father, with whom he severed ties in recent years, but chose not to enter the cemetery and participate in the funeral service.

Bitton's name (71) made headlines in 2013 with the explosion of the "board games" case, in which he was convicted of pimping minors and sentenced to two years in prison.

A year after his release from prison, Bitton was again charged with sexually harassing a 19-year-old girl and sentenced to three months of community service.

In media interviews, Golan insisted that he did not know about his father's actions and that he severed contact with him completely, including removing his name from his ID card.

Over the years, many attempts were made to reconcile the two and renew the relationship, but all failed and the two remained in complete disconnection, until the day he died.

With the publication of Bitton's death, the network was filled with thousands of responses, and among those who, despite his actions, sought to honor the memory of the deceased and especially his family, many chose to respond in harsh language and harsh words, just hours after he died.

"Blessed are we," "Now the girls of Israel can leave the houses without fear," "The corona is also doing good things," and "Now the world is better and safer," it was written.

The flow of angry reactions continued to pick up speed as the hours passed.

"I wonder if he won 72 minors, now that he has reached a place that is all good," and "All people who think that a dead person becomes righteous, no matter what his actions were before should be talked about well, so I will give you examples that you will understand: Hitler. Stalin. Added an angry surfer who came out against the surfers who wanted to respect the rest of his flesh.

"Eyal Golan's father passed away this morning, Purim celebrations in high schools will take place as usual," tweeted a cynical surfer and another was even more blunt, writing: "The saddest thing about Eyal Golan's father is that he died alone and did not take his son with him."

It should be noted that a large proportion of the above respondents posted their harsh comments on Facebook, openly and fearlessly. What do you think?
