Altaroma, which closed after three days of events with a positive balance, has concluded its long journey to find its soul, repositioning Rome after years and definitively entrusting it with the role of

"incubator" for emerging talents in fashion and design

.

Among other things, in the equilibrium of a country with three cities of fashion, with Milan for pret a porter and Florence with the Pitti salons.

"Cinema has never been so true. Fashion has never been so close" commented Adriano Franchi, general manager of Altaroma, at the close of the calendar of fashion shows held in Cinecittà studios.

This was a completely digital edition, broadcast in live streaming and compressed in three days, which recorded for the first time the total absence of the public in attendance, but an online turnout higher than the September edition, which had launched the first digital experiment.

Altaroma, the consortium company of which the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, Lazio Region, Risorse per Roma, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital are members, created thanks to the support of the partners and the support of Ice Agenzia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation International, is now regarded as

the outpost of independent fashion and emerging talents of the made in Italy.

And not only given that new talents from abroad are starting to appear, such as the French Alexandre Blanc.

Here are some numbers of this event: 97 brands / designers participating in the events on the calendar;

190 accredited journalists from abroad and Italy;

30 events on the platform;

20 students of the final works of schools and academies;

18 live streaming events;

14 fashion shows.

Over 50,000 users who followed the event online.

The commitment with the territory, with artisans and traditional manufacturing is realized with Showcase, one of the projects that most attracts the interest of professionals, which reaches its seventh edition and becomes a reference point of the event, with 77 designers , engaged in a virtual showcase open to the world, and which counts on over 60% of sustainable brands.

"We are very satisfied with this digital edition - concludes Franchi - for two reasons: for having managed to give continuity to a large part of the traditional design system, and for the considerable growth in the presence on the platform, especially of foreign buyers thanks to the great work done Ice Agency. The health emergency has contributed to speeding up some processes, including attention and awareness towards an ethics and sustainability of fashion, which by definition young people have always had particular attention, which today comes to represent a large part of the participating brands ".
