This morning (Sunday), Galia Oz's autobiographical book was published, at the center of which the writer flatters her murky relationship with her father, the renowned author Amos Oz, and accuses the deceased of constant verbal and physical violence during her childhood years.

Shortly after the book became known, Oz's eldest daughter, Fanya, was interviewed on the radio.

There she recounted that her sister's allegations were baseless.

The younger brother Daniel also responded to the scandal, but chose to take a more conciliatory stance, both with his sister and with his father.

"My father was not an angel, just a human being, but he was the best person I got to know," he wrote in a long and detailed post.

"I had a complex relationship with his public figure. I had criticisms of her. In fact, I suffered from her indirectly. In fact, behind closed doors, he was the best person I got to know."

He further wrote of his father Amos that "he was a man who improved himself with rare stubbornness, from youth of helplessness and severe trauma, to becoming a reactor of warmth and caring."

Daniel further noted that the family was for his father "the most important thing to him in the world."

Memory is like a rainbow in the cloud that sees among the blind or like a cry to hear among the deaf.

Later in the post, Daniel said that in contrast, Galia remembered that she had experienced severe and abusive parenting from his father.

"I'm sure - that is, I know - that there is a kernel of truth in her words. Do not erase her. But do not erase us either."

According to Oz, after years of "seemingly good family ties, Galia remembered what she remembered then as neglect."

Following this, the nurse stopped talking to the parents and eventually did not even talk to her brother.

"The first crack in my trust was cracked when Galia blamed her face for something that was contemporary, and that I knew for sure was wrong," he added.

"I do not really know what killed my father slowly," Oz concluded, "the cancer, or the nightmares and daily insomnia. The cancer, or the one my mother mourned, in repeated traffic cries, that" a girl died. "

"Galia is a lot of things, but she is not cunning, not a liar and not manipulative. Please do not say otherwise. Please also do not accuse my mother and sister of her face in some absurd conspiracy. My father is dead and he can not stand on the dock and claim innocence, nor defend His loved ones. "
