Facebook closed the account managed by the Burmese army following the coup d'état and the repression of the demonstrations by the military that yesterday led to the death of two people.

The page is called 'Tatmadaw - True News Information Team' and, as explained by Facebook in a note, has repeatedly "violated the community rules that prohibit incitement to violence".

Meanwhile, thousands of people took to the streets of the main Burmese cities even today. - While the wife of a famous actor, Lu Min, denounced his arrest.

The man had taken part in several protests against the coup.

The UN secretary general, António Guterres, condemns the "use of lethal force" in Burma, where yesterday two protesters against the coup were killed by the police.

"The use of lethal force, intimidation and violence against peaceful protesters is unacceptable - he writes in a tweet -. Everyone has the right to protest peacefully. I appeal to all parties to respect the election results and to return to civil standards ".
