One in three adults in Britain have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Health Minister Matt Hancock told the BBC.

"This is great news. We are confident that the vaccine will work both with the old Covid strain and with the so-called" Kent "variant which today is the first source of contagion in this country", he said, specifying that he was not sure instead. on effectiveness against the South African variant.

The British government is still accelerating its anti-Covid vaccination campaign and is committed to bringing forward the goal of administering at least the first dose to the entire population aged 18 and over in the Kingdom by July. Boris Johnson made it known tonight. Prime Minister Tory claimed the results achieved to date, with 17.2 million people already vaccinated with the first dose and the boosters risen to over 600,000, but added that we must "go even further and faster": suggesting that in the meantime the coverage of the 9 priority bands indicated on the island - from the over 50s upwards, plus some categories of work - will be completed ahead of time in the coming weeks. On Monday, as expected for some time and against the backdrop of the recent decline in the latest wave of cases and infections caused by the aggressive 'English' variant of the virus, Johnson will announce the timing of a road map for a cautious and gradual easing of restrictions from the third lockdown national law in force on the island for almost two months, starting with a partial reopening of schools which should be fixed in any case not before 8 March and a relaxation of some measures on the limitation of social contacts.
