Covid, stable positives, fewer deaths. Increase in sick people and hospitalizations

Positive tests for coronavirus in Italy remain constant, in the face of the physiological drop in exams over the weekend, while victims continue to decrease, for the second day well below 300. There are 13. (ANSA)


(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 21 - Coronavirus positive tests in Italy remain constant, in the face of the physiological heat of the exams over the weekend, while they continue to decrease, for the second day well below 300. There are 13,452 molecular and antigenic positive buffers in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health (yesterday they were 14,931).

The dead are 232 instead (yesterday there were 251).


    A total of 250,986 tests were carried out (yesterday they were 306,078, about 55,000 more).

The positivity rate today is 5.4%, while yesterday it was 4.8% (so there is an increase of 0.6% in 24 hours).


    The number of patients in resuscitation and in ordinary wards is increasing.


   2,094 people are hospitalized in intensive care, with an increase of 31 units in the daily balance between income and expenses.

The daily admissions to intensive care were 125.


   In the ordinary wards 17,804 people are now hospitalized, an increase of 79 units compared to yesterday.


    Coronavirus patients - the currently positive ones from the tables of the Ministry of Health - still increase in the last 24 hours: they are 4,272 more, for a total of 388,895.

The remitted and healed are 2,324,633, with an increase of 8,946 units.

There are now 368,997 people in home isolation, an increase of 4,162 in the last 24 hours.


    The total cases since the beginning of the epidemic in Italy are now 2,809,246, the deaths 95,718.
