Covid: US about 500,000 dead, more than in three wars

(ANSA) - NEW YORK, 21 FEB - The United States is approaching the threshold of 500,000 deaths from Covid in almost a year of pandemic.

This is a large number, greater than that of American deaths - reports the New York Times - on the battlefields of the First World War, the Second World War and the Vietnam War combined.

    The number of cases is slowing down but there are fears of new variants.
