Dozens of years of work, but no consideration of seniority on the payslip.
Eleven employees of the Red Cross branch in Montélimar with disabilities have not had any upgrading linked to their seniority, unlike their colleagues without disabilities.
This damage, embarrassing for the French humanitarian aid association, represented a loss of earnings of several hundred euros per month for the employees concerned, and this for years.
The Red Cross announced that these employees would be compensated.

La Croir-Rouge recognizes an error, limited to Montélimar
It all started in the summer of 2020. An employee with a disability, employed by the Red Cross restaurant, noticed that her payslip was very different from that of her colleagues.
She has been working in the association for 19 years, but she is drastically less well paid: her seniority within the organization has not been taken into account.
The employee contacted the CFDT Croix-Rouge, which alerted management in September regarding this particular case, “
without response
” according to the union.
The union then realizes that the problem is not isolated: all employees with disabilities of the Red Cross Montélimar are concerned.
“
We have employees who are proud to work for the French Red Cross every day, but this is still quite a task.
We ask that the Red Cross live up to its principles,
”explains David Aribi, CSE delegate, quoted by France Bleu Drôme-Ardèche.
The CFDT organized a demonstration on Thursday in support of injured employees.
The rally mobilized around 40 Red Cross employees
36,000 euros in legal damage
At the same time, an extraordinary meeting was organized on the same day between the human resources department and the employees.
The officials of the Red Cross have since made their mea culpa: “
The Red Cross deplores this material error so far from its humanist and daily commitment.
It is obviously not intentional
, indicates the organization to
Le Figaro
.
This is probably a problem with the configuration of the IT tool and the French Red Cross is continuing the investigations which require time to reconstruct the paths and careers of people
. "

The cumulative legal loss is 36,000 euros for the 11 employees concerned.
A regularization, "
superior to these provisions
", is now being considered, promises the Red Cross.
The organization specifies that the problem is strictly localized in Montélimar and therefore does not concern, a priori, the other branches.
