This is how YouTubers Mcfly and Carlito responded to the challenge launched by Emmanuel Macron.
If they reach 10 million views, they will come to the Elysee Palace and the Head of State will have to comply with a competition of anecdotes.
At the rate things are going, David Coscas (Mcfly) and Raphaël Carlier (Carlito) could soon climb the steps of the presidential palace.
At 10 a.m. sharp this Sunday, the comedy duo posted the long-awaited video.
An hour and 458,895 views later, the YouTube counter explodes and crashes, before resuming its mad rush.
Shot in record time between the Ferme de Gally (Yvelines) and the Esplanade de la Défense (Hauts-de-Seine), the song entitled “Je me souviens” immediately hit the top tweet.
The general opinion is that “they managed”.
In the middle of the meadows, Mcfly and Carlito hum: “I remember this world where the only barriers were those in the fields of cows (or turkeys).
"They concede to having taken off their masks in the car," potentially maybe accepted a drink "and to have returned after the curfew.
And to ask Macron for some favors in exchange for their participation: to skip a fine, get a place in a nursery, give points on a permit ("It's not for me, it's for a friend").
The money generated by the video donated to precarious students
Internet darlings of teenagers, Mcfly and Carlito, friends for over 15 years, share their love of the gag with 6.28 million fans on YouTube.
Their program combines schoolboy games and challenges, to which they submit their guests including Pierre Niney, Squeezie or Will Smith.
The presidential challenge allowed them to gain 30,000 subscribers in less than 48 hours.
YouTubers didn't just imagine a song, they shot the music video that goes with it.
Fans appreciate the inlay of Macron's face in the “Teletubbies sun” style and spot a car sitting upside down on a street light.
The end of the clip, rather well seen, features two police officers who intervene to verbalize the comedy without mask in public space.

As the day goes on, the counter climbs.
After barely an hour, YouTube falters.
On Twitter, fans are exulting: "Is it my home or is there a bug on the number of views?"
»Stuck on 458,895 views, it restarts some time later, crossing the million views in 3 hours.
And continues its course unabated: 1.7 million views at 3 p.m., 2.3 million views at 4 p.m., 2.9 million at 6 p.m.
At the end of the day, Mcfly and Carlito had every reason to imagine themselves soon on the steps of the Elysée.
To meet such a challenge, the duo were not alone.

Whatever the result of this crazy adventure, Mcfly and Carlito have announced their intention to donate all of the money generated by this video (streaming platforms, radio, etc.) to precarious students.
“All the money will be invested in the Agoraé (solidarity grocery stores) […] so that they can simply eat”.
In April 2020, the duo had organized a "maradon", which allowed them to collect 404,000 euros for caregivers.
