Access to a shift to get vaccinated in the province of Buenos Aires depends on an algorithm.
The mathematical formula, however, only solves a part of the problem that the Ministry of Health has: it is that the doses received by the Axel Kicillof government are not enough to cover the groups that
signed up
on the “
vaccinatepba
”
platform
and that already exceed the 2.8 million people from Buenos Aires.
The diagram provided by the health authorities foresees applying doses to people over 70 years of age and teachers in the stage that was announced last week.
And the application is still pending for part of the personnel who work in health, educators and patients admitted to psychiatric hospitals.
To put it in numbers: the latest official report reports that in the 369 vaccinations (including 169 health centers, 167 schools and points provided by PAMI and IOMA)

The vaccination rate grew in recent days: 4,950 on Wednesday, 19,907 on Thursday, 29,859 on Friday and 10,831 on Saturday.
The component that can put a brake on the pandemic is a scarce good in Argentina.
Buenos Aires has obtained, so far, 530,000 ampoules, that is, there would be a batch of just under 250,000 in stock.
But it turns out that the people with more than 70 years registered in the system are 354 thousand.
The teachers and assistants of the provincial educational system registered in the application are 252 thousand and as of last Friday there were more than 50 thousand health agents without Sputnik V coverage.
A quick balance indicates that Buenos Aires would have a "primary" deficit of almost 300 thousand potions of the only known solution to avoid the coronavirus.
This is where the algorithm designed by experts from the Ministry of Health comes into play.

But the shortage is more severe: because in the list that Kicillof opened for Buenos Aires residents, more than 2.8 million are registered.
When will these citizens be summoned?
For now in the Interior there are no certainties.
The only indication is that "later those over 60 will join."
According to current numbers, another 756 thousand Buenos Aires will join the long queue.
For now, nothing is known about the 18/60 age group, with or without risk factors.

There were councilors of San Andrés de Giles who received doses outside the rule.
There were complaints from Chivilcoy pro-government militants who passed in front of all the essentials.
There was a Berisso official who published a photo with the syringe on his shoulder when he was not supposed to.
And also councilors of Navarro (to the north of Buenos Aires) who would have been privileged due to their political membership in the medicinal distribution.
It happened before the scandal broke out over the vaccinated VIPs, who applied the prick on a floor of the Ministry of Health of the Nation.
The case led to the resignation of Minister Ginés González García and his replacement by Carla Vizzotti, until Friday number two of that division.
For now, the device established by the government continues to grant shifts based on the instructions provided by the "secret" algorithm.

doubts persist

Three days ago, provincial deputies of Juntos por el Cambio presented in the Legislature a request for a report so that the Kicillof government could detail the vaccination plan.

", after Estela de Carlotto, president of Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, acknowledged that she was called by the Province Health to apply Sputnik V "before it is available for her age group" , as expressed in the requirement.
"We are going to demand explanations about the mismanagement and misuse of State resources in the vaccination campaign for COVID-19. VIP vaccination, corruption, misinformation, contradictions. The government manages the few doses of vaccines against COVID-19 that have entered to the country as if it were personal property, ”said Rep. Alex Campbell, one of the authors.

Regarding the alleged irregularities known in recent weeks, the legislator claimed: "We need Minister Daniel Gollán to clarify whether vaccines were given to friends, politicians or people who were not within this vaccination stage."
The project also seeks to know the action plan for vaccination, identification of the target population, vaccination strategy and schedule, distribution logistics, hospitals and establishments affected by the campaign, among other points.
Information is also required on irregularities in terms of vaccinated people who were not part of the target population, the number of vaccines received in each municipality, doses assigned and applied, reasons that have justified the differences that have been reported in the distribution.
