From the director of "One night in Turin" and "Building Jerusalem" James Erskine arrives on February 22 on discovery + "Liverpool FC: the end of the storm", the event documentary on the celebration of courage, team spirit and the fate of Liverpool Football Club, a team that has marked the history of football.

An exclusive documentary, made with the full involvement and support of Liverpool Football Club, which traces the stages of the extraordinary triumphal season of the Liverpool 2019/2020 championship, which ends with the conquest of a title awaited for over 30 years.

Through exclusive videos and interviews with the highest representatives of this company, first of all the charismatic German coach Jurgen Klopp, captain Jordan Henderson, Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson, the incredible Sadio Mane and the colossus Virgil van Dijk, the documentary offers a unique perspective on the unknowns and the excitement that one of the biggest football clubs in the world has to face every day.

Including the difficulties related to the health situation, which almost interrupted the season.

This is the story of the spirit of a team that unites with the passionate perspectives of the fans who supported it.

Thanks to coverage of images from the Premier League and the Club World Cup, and through the global community of over 500 million Liverpool fans, from Anfield to Auckland, from Calcutta to Rio, from Wuhan to Cairo, the documentary manages to immortalize the historical fans, often thousands of kilometers away, as they watch their heroes realize their dreams. And that thanks above all to the "man of miracles" Klopp, the smoking-hot coach from the black forest, they were able to experience a such joy that when the team won it was not easy to comply with the latest health safety regulations due to the pandemic.

“The End of the Storm,” which was nominated for an Emmy Award for “The Human Face,” is produced by Victoria Gregory, Adam Bullmore and Raimon Masllorens.

The production is distributed by Altitude Film Distribution and co-produced by Brutal October in association with New Black Films and Liverpool Fc.

The documentary is available on discovery + from February 22nd.
