The Chinese New Year holidays were an opportunity for the inhabitants of the Middle Empire to rush to the dark rooms.
The week that has just passed marked a new stage in the long march of Chinese cinema to the world podium.
It totaled a record $ 1.2 billion box office, up 20% over the same period last year.
During this famous week, 155 million tickets were sold.
Two "made in China" films won the day:
Detective Chinatown 3
and
Hi Mom,
which respectively raised $ 551 million and $ 423 million.
Moreover, these two feature films could reach the billion dollar mark in revenue.
