Congo: condolences Draghi and government, Fr Chigi follows developments

(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 22 - The Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, expresses deep condolences of the Government and his for the tragic death of Luca Attanasio, Ambassador of Italy to the Democratic Republic of Congo, and of Vittorio Iacovacci, appointed by the Carabinieri who accompanied him aboard a convoy to Goma. The Prime Minister and the Government refer to family members, colleagues from the Farnesina and Armadei Carabinieri. This was stated in a note from Palazzo Chigi. The Presidency of the Council closely follows developments in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
