Occupational physicians will be able to administer the AstraZeneca vaccine from February 25 to employees aged 50 to 64 with co-morbidities, the Secretary of State in charge of pensions and occupational health said on Monday.

“In accordance with the recommendations of February 2, 2021 from the High Authority for Health (HAS), it was decided that from February 25, 2021, after health and medico-social professionals, the AstraZeneca vaccine will be used in particular for vaccination of people aged 50 to 64 inclusive with co-morbidities ”, it is indicated in a press release.

Like general practitioners, occupational physicians "must approach the pharmacy of their choice, to identify themselves and obtain doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine under the same quota regime", specifies the text.
