Covid-19 in France: 334 deaths in hospital in 24 hours and 4,646 positive cases

In total, 84,613 people have died of this disease in France since the appearance of the new coronavirus in our territory.


According to the latest figures published on Monday by the health authorities, 3,407 people are currently in intensive care in French hospitals due to Covid-19.

Some 3,392 serious cases had been recorded the day before and 3,299 seven days ago.

During previous waves of contamination, the number of patients in intensive care had reached 7,000 in the spring and 4,900 in the fall.

A total of 25,831 people are currently hospitalized because of the new coronavirus in the country, an increase of 367 patients compared to the previous day, after a few days of decline.

The 60,000 death mark reached in hospital

The rate of contamination is also following a plateau.

The health agency recorded 4,646 new cases in 24 hours, far fewer than the 16,546 cases last Sunday.

Beware, however, the numbers are often lower on Mondays due to late filing over the weekend.

The health authorities list above all 334 deaths linked to Covid-19 which have occurred in the hospital in the past 24 hours, against 160 the day before and 167 last Sunday.

In total, 84,613 people have died from this disease in France since the appearance of the new coronavirus in our territory, including 60,133 in hospitals.
