A year after the Broadcasting Corporation here announced that the election of the Eurovision representative would no longer be a part of Keshet and "The Next Star", they are once again looking for an outside production that will be responsible for the subject.
The reason: "The decision was made in light of new financial data submitted to the council, regarding the costs involved in producing and prioritizing the investment of resources in an Israeli work, test and drama," the corporation said.
From 2015 to 2020, the Israeli representative for the Eurovision Song Contest was entrusted to Keshet's "next star".
However, following the election of Eden Elena a year ago, the corporation has announced that from now on it will be responsible for the competition in which the Eurovision representative will be elected.
This year there was no need to choose a representative because Elena, who was elected last year, is supposed to represent us at this year's Eurovision.
This is after the previous Eurovision was canceled due to the corona.
