The French electro group announced its separation on Monday in a video posted to its YouTube account.
Simply titled “Epilogue”, the video, taken from their 2006 film Electroma, shows the two members of the group in a desert, dressed in their usual robot costumes.
They greet each other and one of them walks away, before exploding.
A panel “1993-2021” follows, recalling the start and end dates of the duo.
Kathryn Frazier, their longtime spokesperson confirmed the news of their separation to the specialized site Pitchfork.
