The health authorities count 314 deaths linked to Covid-19 this Tuesday in the hospital in the last 24 hours, against 334 the day before and 167 last Sunday.
Since the start of the epidemic, 60,443 people have died in hospital.
Some 3,435 patients are currently in intensive care in French hospitals due to Covid-19 against 3,407 on Monday.
A figure in slight increase.
Some 3,392 serious cases had been recorded on Sunday.
During previous waves of contamination, the number of patients in intensive care had reached 7,000 in the spring and 4,900 in the fall.
In total, 25,660 people are currently hospitalized because of the new coronavirus in the country, against 25,831 the day before, after a few days of decline.
More than a million vaccinated
The rate of contamination is also following a plateau.
The health agency registered 20,064 new cases in 24 hours, 4,646 the day before.
But beware, the numbers are often lower on Mondays due to late filing over the weekend.
For vaccines, as of February 22, 2,603,702 people have already received at least one dose of vaccine, of which the overwhelming majority (over 90%) comes from the Pfizer vaccine.
This vaccination coverage represents 3.9% of the population.
More than one million people (1,234,673 to be precise) received the two injections.
