The standoff between Mark Zuckerberg and the Australian government lasted less than a week.
While Facebook had erased with a snap of its fingers, Wednesday evening, the presence of the media on the Australian version of its social network, they will return to the platform in the coming days.
The reason for this turnaround?
The American group has obtained concessions in a bill that aims to force the digital giants to pay the media for their content.
The text, adopted last week by the House of Representatives, is now considered by senators.

joked Economy Minister Josh Frydenberg, recalling that

But there is no doubt that we have fought a proxy battle for the entire planet. ”
Many countries are indeed watching with interest the future Australian law, which gives more weight to newspaper publishers.
