A truck driver was stopped by the police in northern Hesse on Tuesday.
The man had previously been observed as he drove his truck on the A7 serpentine.
The officials found: He had more than 4.7 per thousand.
Another truck driver had called the emergency services after he had overtaken the 49-year-old's semitrailer near Melsungen.
The officers were able to stop the truck at the Malsfeld junction, as the Kassel police announced.
Despite the driving style, there was no accident.
The breath alcohol test on the truck driver from Lower Saxony showed more than 4.7 per thousand.
The man now has to answer for being drunk in traffic.
His driver's license was confiscated.
