In a field near Sinsheim-Eschelbach, a 13-year-old boy was found dead on the edge of the forest on Wednesday afternoon.
As the police in Mannheim announced in the evening, a 14-year-old was arrested in the immediate vicinity, who is suspected of having killed the 13-year-old.
The crime scene was cordoned off widely.
The police used a helicopter to take general pictures.
The Capital Crimes Department of the Heidelberg Criminal Police Department has started the investigation.
