The 'Brazilian' arrives in Rome. In Puglia, Emiliano signs a new ordinance, Ddi until March 14 (ANSA)

The school returns to the chaos between variants that spread in the institutes, governors who decide to suspend lessons to vaccinate school staff and the Tar who orders to reopen them

.

The first case of a Brazilian variant with a link to Umbria was found in Rome

: she is a teacher of a middle school in the Trieste district of the capital.

The ASL has arranged carpet swabs for students, professors and administrators as well as, of course, the sanitization of all environments.

In recent days the maternal and elementary sections had already been closed after the discovery of a case of an English variant.

In the last three days alone, six schools have closed for Covid in Rome, especially for children and elementary schools.

Schools in Brescia also closed today, in seven municipalities in the province of Bergamo and in one in the Cremona area after the 'strengthened' orange zone was triggered in these areas.

Meanwhile in Puglia, where the governor Michele Emiliano in recent days had sent all the students home with distance learning while the vaccinations for school staff started in the region on Saturday, an ordinance of the TAR suspended the regional ordinance by accepting the 'precautionary petition for the appeal presented by Codacons Lecce and by a group of parents of pupils.

The Regions - points out the TAR - may "introduce more restrictive derogatory measures than those ordered by the national government, but these measures must be provisional and reasonably consistent with the classification of the level of severity of the emergency in the regional context".

New ordinance signed today by the Apulian governor Emiliano: 'From February 24 and until March 14, all schools in Puglia, of all levels, must adopt 100% integrated digital teaching (Ddi)

, "reserving the teaching activity in presence to pupils for the use of laboratories if provided for by the legal system, or to maintain an educational relationship that achieves the effective scholastic inclusion of pupils with disabilities and with special educational needs ".

And while in some regions the vaccinations of school staff have started, in others the campaign has not yet taken off.

"There are local health authorities that have not yet started the vaccination plan that involves school staff, including Lombardy, the Marches and Sicily; in the latter there is a chaotic situation, produced by contradictory indications that have totally excluded educational institutions from the management and information on the vaccination plan ", accuses Maddalena Gissi, general secretary of the CISL Scuola.

At the Ministry of Education the first meeting between the Minister Patrizio Bianchi and the trade unions

.

There are many issues that the unions have in mind to tackle: from vaccinations to school staff, which started only in some Regions, to the renewal of safety protocols in view of maturity and eighth grade exams, from the management of the pandemic and the variants that they are hitting the schools, the ordinances of the governors on the closures and openings of the institutes and the decisions of the TARs which are used by committees of parents and consumer associations;

from the recruitment necessary to start the next school year with teachers in the chair from September, to the competitions node (the extraordinary one, reserved for long-term precarious workers, has just ended).
