In the corona crisis, the toilet paper shelves were initially empty.
A Berlin start-up presented how one can apparently get along without toilet paper as early as 2017 on TV.
Some fans of “
Die Höhle der Löwen *
” may still remember the Berlin
start-up
“HappyPo”: In 2017, Oliver Elsoud and Frank Schmischke presented
a rather unusual product
in the
TV founding show
- namely a butt shower.
Or to put it another way: handy shower devices as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional toilets.
Because
in this case you should be able to do
without
toilet paper
.
It works like a hand bidet, the water comes at the push of a button.
The corona-related shortage of toilet paper made the butt showers “a hit”, according to
Businessinsider.de.

The Berlin start-up became known through the aforementioned appearance at
“Die Höhle der Löwen”
in autumn 2017, where Elsoud and Schmischke
were able to win
Dagmar Wöhrl
as an investor.
While most of the Löwen investors shook their heads at the time, they
invested
120,000 euros in the
idea
and secured 25 percent of the company's shares, as
