(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 25 - New leap in coronavirus test positives in the last 24 hours in Italy, almost 20,000, over 3,000 more than yesterday, compared to about 13,000 swabs more.
The positivity rate rises to 5.6% and the number of patients in intensive care - for the eighth day in a row - and those hospitalized in ordinary wards are still increasing.
Amounts remain over 300.
To be precise, 19,886 positive tests were recorded, according to data from the Ministry of Health (yesterday they were 16,424).
The victims are instead 308 (yesterday 318).
The molecular and antigenic tests were 353,704 in 24 hours, yesterday they were 340,247.
The positivity rate recorded a + 0.8% compared to 4.8% yesterday.
2,168 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, with an increase of 11 units in the daily balance between entries and exits.
There were 178 daily admissions to resuscitation. In ordinary wards, however, 18,257 people with symptoms are hospitalized, an increase of 40 units compared to yesterday.
The total cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 2,868,435, the deaths 96,974.
The currently positive are 396,143 (+6,710 compared to yesterday), the discharged or healed 2,375,318 (+12,853), in homecare isolation there are 375,718 people (+6,659).
