"I've been working on the standard model of the ASOS website for more than a year, and it was a very exciting and surprising moment when an agency representing me in London told me that Beyoncé was enthusiastic about my photos and chose me to model her collection," she says.

According to her, two days after the referral was received, the filming had already taken place in a studio in London, with Beyoncé from a distance confirming the filming.

"She supervised every detail from a distance, what my hair would look like, what kind of makeup I would have, it was important for her to be involved in every detail and approve the photos. No picture was allowed outside until the collection was launched," says Zanko.

Zanko is only nineteen and a half years old and is already having success overseas.

She arrived in London in August 2019 after the British modeling agency MILK got excited about her, offered her an employment contract and asked her to move to the UK in favor of developing an international career.

Since then it has been on the London-Tel Aviv line, and has starred in quite a few international campaigns such as the Christmas campaign of the pretty little thing brand, a campaign for a special collection of Asos X puma, European local brands and as mentioned she serves as the house model of the ASOS website.

"Until the closures I would travel between countries to be photographed for many campaigns. Unfortunately, since I have an Israeli passport and Israel is considered a red state, even though I live in London they do not allow me to fly outside London until Israel is considered a green country. Some campaigns send staff to photograph me here (London) And there are campaigns that have unfortunately been canceled. "

Zanko says she was photographed for a big Marks & Spencer campaign for a lingerie set.

"They are launching a collection for the first time with a size larger than G, and I will be the first model to model the collection with the new size. The campaign was filmed in London, the photos are expected to star on billboards and in stores. "I would very much like to star in campaigns in Israel. Unfortunately, there are not enough openings in Israel yet, and there are almost no plus-size models in the campaigns. Here in London, I work non-stop."

The break-in is due to model Ray Segev.

Two years ago, Zanko came to auditions when they were looking for plus-size women to march at Fashion Week.

She came to auditions conducted by producer Moti Reif, designer Dror Contento, and Ray Segev.

Segev, who was enthusiastic, took her under her wing and represented her at the beginning of the journey.

Recently, Zanko is represented in the agency of Omri Yaari ITM, which represents the models Yael Shelby and Eden Pines, among others.

"I believe we will continue to hear about Shai's international successes. People abroad love her special beauty, and I'm sure she's still going to star a lot," says Yaari.
