But in 2020, he limped heavily.
On the one hand, Hachette Livre, world number three in publishing, managed to post a stable turnover of 2.37 billion euros, despite the crisis which severely affected the months of March and April.
It is the only branch of the group that posts a profit of 246 million.
“We did wonderfully well.
After registering a 70% drop in sales between April and May in France, the rebounds were strong from June and December, and the contribution of our houses in the Anglo-Saxon universe was spectacular, proof of the relevance of our internationalization strategy ”,
explains Arnaud Nourry, boss of the publishing branch.
On the other, Lagardère Travel Retail, which operates stores in airports and train stations.
Due to the Covid crisis, revenue fell 59.7% to € 1.72 billion.
