(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 25 - Johannes Klaebo and Jonna Sundling are the first athletes to wear a gold medal in the classic technique print at the World Championships in Oberstdorf.

    The men's competition saw the domination of the Norwegians from the quarters.

Klaebo and Valnes have passed the rounds in pairs, showing to have greater speed than all the other opponents.

    Pellegrino after a good qualification with the third place overall, had already had to defend himself in the quarters, threatened by the Finn Joni Maki, managing to regulate him with a good sprint behind Taugboel.

In the semifinal, the blue remained trapped in the shirts of the Norwegians and the Russians, closing the heat in sixth place and remaining excluded from the final.


    In the women's race the Swedish Jonna Sundling won, ahead of the Norwegian Maiken Caspersen Falla and the Slovenian Amamarija Lampic.
