The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, during his meeting today, Saeed Khatib Zadeh, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Islamic Republic of Iran, head of the Center for Public Diplomacy and Information, and the accompanying delegation discussed the scientific cooperation relations between the two countries.
Minister Ibrahim affirmed Syria’s keenness to strengthen joint scientific relations by increasing the grants offered, holding seminars and scientific conferences between Syrian and Iranian universities, and exchanging experiences and research, pointing to the importance of making the most of the scientific and technical expertise that Iranian research centers have, and working on transferring technology and technologies to Syrian universities.
In turn, Zadeh referred to the distinguished scientific relations and the multiple scientific, cultural and research cooperation programs between the two countries, stressing his country's readiness to provide more in this field, pointing to the importance of the joint scientific committees' work in order to link the research and scientific institutions to take advantage of the available energies on both sides.
