(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 26 - "We have evaluated the possibility of carrying out the ITA project and expressed the desire to confirm a national air transport carrier".
This was stated, in a joint note, by the ministers of economic development, infrastructure and transport, GiancarloGiorgetti and Enrico Giovannini, who met today at the Mise to deal with the Alitalia dossier together with the chief of cabinet of the Mef, Giuseppe Chiné, and the director general of the treasury, Alessandro Rivera.
"The procedure presupposes the involvement of Parliament, which will have to express itself on the industrial plan of ITA and the European Commission", reads the published text at the end of the meeting, which lasted about an hour.
The press release also announces that next week "a meeting in liaison is planned between the ministers Giancarlo Giorgetti, Enrico Giovannini, Daniele Franco and the European Commissioner Margrethe Vestager".
