If you plan to fly on the LATAM airline, be careful, because as of next
Monday, March 1
, the company will
prohibit the use of chinstraps with valves
(any model),
mouth guards, scarves and cloth bandanas
on all its flights, due to its low efficiency in filtering viruses and bacteria.
Thus, as of March 1, those passengers who do not comply with these measures will
not be able to board
, so it is recommended to use replacement masks on long-duration flights, following the manufacturer's instructions regarding the use and time of each.
In addition, the airline reported that during February the fitting out of a
sheet with antibacterial and antiviral properties
that is placed on the tables located at each seat in one of the aircraft in the LATAM fleet in Chile was completed.

This is a
pilot initiative
that ensures complete elimination of viruses and bacteria, with proven resistance to repetitive cleaning and use by passengers, without altering their action.
Finally, and as a way to support the safe return of domestic and international transportation, the LATAM group signed agreements with important clinical laboratories throughout the continent, ensuring access to PCR tests for the detection of COVID-19 at a preferential rate.
The centers that are part of this alliance are available in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Brazil and the United States.
