, the 313th Acrobatic Training Group was officially established

An official name that hardly anyone knows, because in the world it is, for everyone, only the "Frecce Tricolori" of the Air Force hosted, since then, in the Rivolto air base (Udine).

The Group is made up
of about 100 military personnel and the formation
consists
of 10 aircraft (9 + solo)
, piloted by officers of the Armed Force who come from the flight operational departments of the Air Force which,
following a very strict selection, enter part of the National Aerobatic Team
on their Aermacchi MB339A-PAN.
The Frecce Tricolori have the task of representing the values, technology, professionalism and the ability to team up the entire Air Force.
With their activities they are in fact bearers of the values and skills that are generally typical of the Armed Forces and with them also promote the national industry and therefore the whole "Country System".
The main and most obvious activity is collective aerial acrobatics.
The important anniversary of the 60th birthday will be celebrated on Monday
: on March 1, 1961, the first 6 F-86E "Saber" aircraft with the livery of the "Prancing Horse" patrol arrived in Rivolto from the 4th Aerobrigata di Grosseto the emblem of the Asso Francesco Baracca;
symbol sold by Countess Paolina, Baracca's mother, directly to Enzo Ferrari, for the car manufacturer from Maranello.
Pan, in 2020, should have celebrated its 60th acrobatic season
with a major international event;
Due to the pandemic, however, the Air Force has responsibly decided to postpone the event to this year, in a manner that will strictly depend on the limits imposed by the emergency situation in progress.
In this difficult period for everyone, in the wake of this important symbolic function of the National Aerobatic Team
, last year, from 25 to 29 May, there was a historic overflight of all the Italian regional capitals and the city of Codogno, first Italian "red zone".
The "Abbraccio Tricolore", this is the name given to the historic overflight, was an undertaking strongly desired by the Italian citizens themselves and endorsed by the top management of the Ministry of Defense.
Other flyovers were added to this important event on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Genoa Bridge, the start of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza and the anniversary of the Patron Saint of Italy on the Upper Basilica of Assisi, while 2021 has begun with the flyover at the World Ski Championships in Cortina.
