Recall: Listeria disease is particularly dangerous for pregnant women
In the announcement that Palatum published on Friday, the company warns pregnant women in particular against consuming the soft cheese.
The company of the Robert Koch Institute cited that it could “harm the unborn child even without symptoms”.
Seniors and people with a weakened immune system also have to fear serious illnesses, which can manifest themselves in blood poisoning and meningitis.
If symptoms of illness such as diarrhea and fever occur after consumption, the company advises urgently to consult a doctor.
Listeriosis can be treated with antibiotics.
Medical advice is essential for pregnant women after consumption, even if no symptoms occur.
Soft cheese: can also be exchanged without a receipt
Palatum KG notes in the notification that customers can return the affected soft cheese in the sales outlets for a refund of the purchase price.
No receipt is required for this.
