Many people have an extremely close relationship with their pets.
But only a few can benefit from treatment, as world football star Christiano Ronaldo has now done with his cat.
The player from Juventus Turin and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez organized a private jet for the animal, according to the Spanish broadcaster Cadena 100, to fly it to a veterinarian in Madrid after an accident.
The cat was hit by a car and was in mortal danger, so the couple decided to take the 3,000-euro flight, the report said.
According to the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca", the cat Pepe - named after Ronaldo's former teammate at Real Madrid - belongs to an exclusive breed of which there are only eight worldwide.
Cadena 100 reported that the sphinx cat Pepe, a little over two years old, suddenly ran out onto the street before the accident in Turin.
After the treatment in Spain, the animal should be brought back to Italy by jet, according to »Marca«.
Sphinx cats are considered lively and trusting.
How much Ronaldo the 36-year-old Portuguese loved dealing with pets, he shows again and again on Instagram.
Ronaldo and his girlfriend Rodriguez, who is known as an influencer, already took Pepe on vacation more often, and the flight by private jet should not have been unusual for the cat, as the Instagram pictures show.
However, the accident itself is not only a difficult time for the animal.
Rodriguez is said to have said to the Spanish edition of "Instyle": "Pepe gave us a terrible scare."
After a month of treatment in Italy, the couple decided to move the animal patient to Spain.
Her sister Ivana could take care of Pepe there.
"He is in the best of hands now," she was quoted as saying.
