(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 28 - At least 9 people were killed in the repression of demonstrations in Burma, on the bloodiest day since the beginning of the February 1st anti-crime protests.

The BBC reports, citing medical sources in Yangon, Dawei and Mandalay, where the police used real and rubber bullets and tear gas.
