(ANSA) - GENEVA, FEBRUARY 28 - The United Nations condemned the violent repression in Burma and urged the military juntam to stop using force on peaceful demonstrators.
"We strongly condemn the escalation of violence against protests in Myanmar and call on the military to immediately stop the use of force against peaceful protesters," Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Council, said in a statement. At least 9 protesters were killed today on the bloodiest day since the protests began. (HANDLE).
