Increases the wanderlust: sun in the forest

In large parts of Germany, the week starts with sunshine.
According to the German Weather Service (DWD), fog fields initially persist in some regions.
But as soon as these have dissolved, there will be a lot of sunshine at the meteorological beginning of spring on March 1st.
Hoch »Jacqueline« ensures that it will remain largely free of rain in the coming days.
However, frost must be expected in the nights between the Alps and the North Sea.
According to the DWD, temperatures rise during the day and often reach double-digit values.
Especially on Wednesday, up to 17 degrees are locally possible.

From Thursday it will be cool
From Thursday, however, it will be cooler.
According to the DWD, a low over Russia ensures that a cold front flows into Germany from the north.
This clears the way for significantly colder air, and a temperature drop of 5 to 10 degrees is to be expected.
This would mean that only single-digit maximum temperatures would be reached during the day.
However, permafrost only occurs in the mountains.
With the cold front, there is precipitation that could bring a few centimeters of snow in the mountainous region.
In the lowlands there is usually not enough for that.
There can therefore be no question of a real onset of winter.
The weather in February was extreme in one respect: As climate researchers at the DWD had announced, the temperature has never risen as much in seven days since the start of the recordings as the readings from the Göttingen weather station.
While a low of minus 23.8 degrees was measured there on February 14, the high on February 21 was 18.1 degrees - an increase of 41.9 degrees.
