Burma: protest returns to the streets, barricades in Yangon

(ANSA) - ROME, 01 MAR - The anti-coup protest and the return to democracy returned today to challenge the militaries in the squares in various cities of Burma, the day after the bloody repression that left at least 18 demonstrators on the ground. Some international media speak of barricades built in Yangon with bamboo scaffolding, bins and pneumatic bins. Videos circulating in the media and on social networks show protesters marching in the southwestern city of Dawei.
