Coronavirus in Argentina: the second plane arrived with 732,500 doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine

This Monday, the second flight that completed the largest batch of

Sputnik V

vaccines

against the coronavirus that Argentina has received so far

arrived at the Ezeiza airport

.

The Aerolineas Argentinas plane arrived in the country minutes before 8:00

p.m.

and brought a total of

732,500 doses

that, added to the 517,000 that arrived on Sunday, total a shipment of

1.2 million vaccines

, as

As reported by the Government through a statement, Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1063 that arrived this Monday brought

702,400 units of the first component

of the Sputnik V vaccine and 30,100 units of the second.

Meanwhile, the Airbus 330-200 that returned to the country on Sunday brought a shipment of 147,600 units of the first component of the vaccine and 369,900 doses of the complementary one.

From the Ministry of Health, now led by Carla Vizzotti, it was reported that the new batch of vaccines will be used to vaccinate health personnel and those over 70 years of age.

Thus, Argentina has received

2,470,540 doses

of Sputnik V so far: 1,660,540 doses 1 and 810,000 doses 2. This is

12%

of the 20 million that had been announced at the end of January, when the Government announced your vaccination plan.
