Damascus University announced today the names of the candidates for Hungarian scholarships according to the criteria approved by the Syrian side.
In its announcement, which SANA received a copy of, the university called on the students who are candidates for scholarships and whose names are listed in the regulations contained on its website to review their e-mail daily, as they will be invited for an interview by the Hungarian side through the “Skype” program, confirming that the final acceptance is linked to the concerned party there.
The university indicated that it is possible to communicate for any other inquiries via the e-mail designated for this matter or refer to the office of the Assistant Secretary of the President of Damascus University for Scientific Research
Last December, the university announced more than 200 scholarships provided by the Hungarian government for undergraduate and postgraduate Syrian students, "master's and doctorate", in various specializations for the academic year 2020-2021.
The grants include a monthly stipend of 130 euros for students applying to undergraduate and master's scholarships, and 450 euros for students applying for doctoral scholarships, in addition to an exemption from registration fees, housing provision or a financial allowance while the student covers travel expenses.
