The Minister of Education, Nicolás Trotta, estimated this Sunday that the coronavirus vaccination process for teachers and non-teachers - which covers more than 1.4 million workers in the sector - could be complete
"in three months."
"We estimate that in three months, approximately,
we will be able to have all the personnel vaccinated,
" predicted Trotta.
The official reported that they hope that the vaccination process
"can begin this week in a staggered manner in different parts of the country."
The Minister of Education made these estimates when interviewed by
Radio Miter,
on the eve of the beginning of the school year in 16 provinces that will be added to the four districts that had already started classes.
In this way, Trotta argued that the reopening of schools in much of the Argentine territory "is a very important step"
to
"protect the presence at school".
Last week, the Government
changed the original strategy of the Vaccination Plan against the coronavirus

While doctors continue to be vaccinated, registration was launched for teachers to receive their dose.
Teachers, non-teachers, managers and support staff from official educational institutions of any level who wish to be vaccinated can now register on an online platform, with the aim of updating the data to organize logistics.

, to be able to order the own priority that we agreed with the provinces, to start with initial education, special education, the first cycle of primary school and the directors, which adds up to almost 450 thousand teachers, "Trotta explained.
From that record, the Government hopes "to be able to have the horizon" of when the vaccination process will be completed.
Trotta clarified:
"I am not telling everyone, because perhaps not everyone agrees to be vaccinated,
but a very important portion does."
The minister assured that the vaccination is implemented "against the clock" because it is necessary to
"take advantage of the summer and autumn to immunize our entire educational community"
, so that this allows "to sustain this careful presence with the arrival of winter."
In another order, Trotta stressed that, according to the national parity,
"no teacher is going to earn less than 31 thousand
pesos
in the month of March in the entire Argentine territory."
Finally, in the midst of the scandal over the VIP vaccination, Trotta reported:
"I have not been vaccinated; I will be vaccinated when the health authority determines it is necessary
. They did not offer me to vaccinate and no one from our ministry has been vaccinated so far",
