(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 01 - "I dedicate this award to Italy, to my family, to my little girl who would like to remember the joy in my eyes of this day and who must always believe in their dreams".

The first woman to win with an Italian song, Laura Pausini triumphs at the Goledn Globes, with Io Sì (Seen), a song written with Diane Warren, multi-award-winning American composer already nominated for the Oscars eleven times.

It is the original song of Edoardo Ponti's film La vita prima con laregia, which marks Sophia Loren's return to the scenes with a story of love, acceptance and sharing.

"Never ever would I have thought winning at the Golden Globe Awards - she added - what a crazy emotion and what a great honor! It is truly a privilege to be the first woman to have won with an all-Italian song!".

"I am happy for this milestone - continued the interpreter - especially for the welcoming and sharing message that the song brings with it, dedicated to all those who want and deserve to be seen".

Pausini adds the Golden Globe Award to the Grammy Award (2006) and to the four Latin Grammy Awards (2005,2007, 2009, 2018) to his palmares.

"Congratulations to @LauraPausini for the prestigious award won last night at @goldenglobes. A victory that combines music and cinema and that honors Italy.

#GoldenGlobes #TheLifeAhead", wrote Culture Minister Dario Franceschini on Twitter.

In addition to Diane Warren, this song also marks the first collaboration with Bonnie Greenberg (music supervisor of films such as Everything can happen, The marriage of my best friend, What women want or The Mask) and for the Italian text renews the one with Niccolò Agliardi, one of the most assiduous authors of Laura.

"Being the voice of the character of Sophia a myriad of pride - underlined the singer -.

Just in these days is the 28th anniversary of that evening in Sanremo that changed my life. And I smile to think of that little girl, who never would have expected to get so far ".
